VITAL invites applications for its 2020-2021 Minigrants program. The Call for Proposals will close on Friday, March 20 at 5:00p.m.
The purpose of these internal instructional grants is to support full-time Villanova faculty members in fostering advances in undergraduate and graduate teaching and learning at Villanova, implementing the University’s and Colleges’ educational goals, and exploring the use of new instructional strategies.
Note. Fifty percent of the funds available for 2020-2021 instructional grant projects will be allocated to enrich graduate courses and/or graduate programs. Proposals that pertain to educational topics/areas listed in the CFP are of special interest.
Please submit the letter of support template along with your grant proposal to the Dean/department chair/academic program director well in advance of the deadline, March 20, so they may review the grant project and prepare their letter of support using the templates provided below.
The Office of the Dean and the department/academic program will submit their letters of support directly to the VITAL office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
To support submission of strong projects, interested faculty members are highly encouraged to contact Dr. Gabriele Bauer, Ext. 9-5627 or e-mail with proposal ideas before submitting a full proposal.
"A Novel Approach to Teaching a Foreign Language:” Prof. Barbara Romaine, Arabic Instructor, Global Interdisciplinary Studies, builds on her VITAL minigrant award to author the Arabic workbook, “Write Arabic Now” (Georgetown University Press, 2018).
You may contact a member of the Minigrant Review Committee while developing your proposal.
