Internal Instructional Grant Program

The purpose of these internal grants is to support full-time Villanova faculty members in fostering advances in undergraduate and graduate teaching and learning at Villanova, implementing the teaching-learning sections of the University’s and Colleges’ strategic plans, and exploring the use of new instructional strategies. 

VITAL Instructional Minigrant Awards 2023-2024

We congratulate the faculty colleagues who have been awarded grants to enrich students’ learning experiences and innovate both gradaute and undergraduate course curricula across colleges. We wish them the best as they work on their innovative teaching projects this summer.

Final Report Submission, Grant Recipients 2022-2023

Per stipulation of the minigrant award, grant recipients have agreed to submit a written final report by Mon., July 24 at the latest. Please download this template (.docx) to write the final report and submit the completed report via email to Gabriele Bauer, VITAL. For questions, please contact us via email.

The Call for Proposals for the 2024-2025 Minigrants program will open in late November.

Letters of Support Template

Please submit the letter of support template along with your grant proposal to the Dean/department chair/academic program director at least one week prior to the deadline of 3/20so they may review the grant project and prepare their letter of support using the templates provided below. Please refer to CFP for College contact, page 4.

To ensure the integrity of the process, the Office of the Dean and the department/academic program will submit their letters of support directly to the VITAL office at vitalinfo@villanova.edu.

To support submission of strong projects, interested faculty members are highly encouraged to contact Dr. Gabriele Bauer, Ext. 9-5628 or e-mail with proposal ideas before submitting a full proposal.
