Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee

The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) reviews and approves studies involving the use of live vertebrate animals. Use of live vertebrate animals in teaching, testing or research—whether non-funded, funded internally or externally—comes under the purview of this committee. If using animal tissue(s) for your research or teaching please contact the Office of Research Protections. The Office of Research Protections can provide instruction and resources to help with the study from development to closure.
