CITI Program and Regulatory Training
Villanova utilizes the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) to provide modular, online training in the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR).
To access the CITI program, please log in here: https://www.citiprogram.org/
Users will need to affiliate with Villanova to access our course catalogue. To register for the first time, select “Register” and choose the “Select Your Organization Affiliation” option. Follow the subsequent prompts to set up a learner profile under Villanova University. If you have a preexisting CITI account, you may affiliate your existing CITI profile with Villanova.

Training Requirements
Per Villanova University Policy, any individual engaged in research at the University must complete training in the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR). Additional training may be required based on project involvement and/or sponsor requirements. If an individual is named on a research proposal or protocol, training should be completed prior to submitting to the Office of Grants and Contracts or the Office of Research Protections for review.
Villanova also provides supplemental “live” training throughout the year which will be advertised in Campus Currents and appear on the University Events Calendar.
