Conflict of Interest in Research Committee

Faculty members and other University personnel engaged in research may have financial interests and, in accordance with federal regulations, requires that these financial interests may be disclosed and adequately managed, reduced or eliminated, as appropriate under the specific circumstances.

The University is responsible for managing potential financial conflicts when involved in research. The Conflict of Interest (COI) in Research Committee is responsible for the review of financial conflicts of interest disclosure by researchers and regulatory committee members, as well as oversight to address any potential conflicts of interest in connection with research. The Committee provides direction, support and guidance on management plans to resolve novel or difficult research-related conflict of interest cases.
