Villanova Law welcomes Andrei Iancu, Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to the Charles Widger School of Law for a special event with faculty, students, staff, lawyers and intellectual property professionals. After brief remarks by Director Iancu, the audience will have the opportunity to engage in a roundtable discussion with Director Iancu about patents, innovation, and the Patent & Trademark office.
Director Iancu provides leadership and oversight to one of the largest intellectual property offices in the world, with more than 12,000 employees and an annual budget of over $3 billion. He also serves as the principal advisor to the Secretary of Commerce on domestic and international intellectual property policy matters.
Students, faculty, lawyers and other intellectual property professionals are invited to attend. A reception will immediately follow. Attendance is free, but registration is required.
