Villanova Law students place second in internship Mock Trial Competition
Villanova Law students Marissa Booth ’19 and Samuel Cooper ’19 took second place in the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office 18th Annual Summer Intern Mock Trial Competition. The Competition served as the finale to the students’ summer externship with the District Attorney’s Office.
Booth and Cooper became certified legal interns for their externship, allowing them to practice law in Magisterial District Court and the Court of Common Pleas under the supervision of the Office’s Assistant District Attorneys and staff.
For the Competition, second-year law students prosecuted a variation on an actual trial culminating in a final round judged by Assistant District Attorney Edward F. McCann, Jr. at the Montgomery County Courthouse.
