Villanova will renovate and revitalize the Connelly Center, a student hub and central gathering space for the campus community for over 40 years. A gift from the Connelly Foundation originally funded the construction of the Connelly Center, which opened in 1980. The Foundation is now making a leadership gift to reimagine the building for today’s student needs, donating $10 million toward the renovation cost, which brings the Connelly Foundation’s total giving to Villanova to more than $44 million.

The Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, PhD, Villanova University President, announced that Admiral Samuel Paparo ’87 CLAS, Commander of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, will address the Class of 2025 as the University’s commencement speaker. Admiral Paparo will also receive the degree of Doctor of Military Science, honoris causa. The University’s 182nd commencement will be held on Friday, May 16, at 2:30 p.m., in Villanova Stadium.

Jeremiah Robinson-Earl '25 CPS, a former member of the Villanova University Men’s Basketball team, has been selected as the student speaker at Villanova’s 2025 Commencement ceremony. Robinson-Earl, currently a member of the New Orleans Pelicans in the National Basketball Association, completed his degree in General Studies online through the College of Professional Studies.

Villanova University Cabrini Campus Opening in 2026
Villanova University’s new 112-acre Cabrini Campus will open in August 2026, providing the opportunity for the University to enhance its programs and commitment to advancing Catholic higher education. This addition will support all aspects of campus life, providing a space that nurtures a true living and learning experience in Villanova’s Augustinian Catholic tradition.
