58th Annual Reimel Moot Court Competition
Dan Sulvetta '19 and Steven Lee '19 were awarded the John J. Duffy ’62 Advocacy Cup as winners of the 58th Annual Theodore L. Reimel ’24 CLAS Moot Court Competition. The competition is an intra-school tournament that has become a hallmark of the Villanova Law experience.
Named in honor of the late Theodore L. Reimel, Judge for the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas from 1953 to 1973, the competition is designed to foster student development in written and oral advocacy through simulated appellate argument. The winner's cup is named in honor of Mr. Duffy, a widely recognized and accomplished criminal trial lawyer in Pennsylvania. While a student at Villanova Law, he competed for the winning team of the second annual Reimel Competition, and was selected Best Oralist by the members of the final argument bench.
