OUR FACILITIES

A student and professor work in the lab.

The Chemistry Department has 35,000 square feet of instructional laboratories, each designed for a different subdiscipline of chemistry with specialized instrumentation and facilities.

Chemistry majors learn in a specialized laboratory space complete with modern instrumentation, promoting faculty-student interactions and personalized instruction.

The full list of Departmental research instruments is below. Recent large acquisitions include a Bruker Kappa x-ray diffractometer and two Applied Biosystems triple quadrupole mass spectrometers, purchased with funding from the Major Research Instrumentation Program of the National Science Foundation.
