Congratulations Graduates!

This website will provide you with our latest information and details about Commencement Weekend. After looking through this site and reading the information booklet, please feel free to email with any remaining questions.

The Commencement Ceremony

The University Commencement Ceremony is on Friday at 4pm in the Villanova Stadium.

  • This is the formal University Ceremony where degrees are conferred by each college, not individually.
  • Each graduate is given two tickets for guest seating on the stadium field.  Graduates do not process but sit with their two guests on the field.  Additional guests are able to be seated in the non-ticketed first-come, first served seating in the bleachers.
  • The ceremony is about 90 minutes to 2 hours long.
  • The President's Reception for Graduates and Guests follows the University Ceremony.  The reception is in the Connelly Center and everyone is invited to attend, and the event includes light food and beverages.  There is no formal program, just come and enjoy!

The College Convocations are Saturday at different times and different locations.

  • Indivdual names are called at these events and the graduates walk across the stage.
  • They are all about 90 minutes long.
  • Tickets are not needed and there are no guest limits for the college ceremonies.

Following the College Convocations, the weekend concludes with the Baccalaureate Mass in the Campus Green at 4pm.  This is something that families will want to attend- and all faiths welcome.

It is also important to note that each graduate receives 2 campus parking passes for the weekend.  Unfortunately, we aren’t able to accommodate other requests for parking passes.
