Lent, Holy Week and Easter 2021

Even now, says the LORD, return to me with your whole heart.–Joel 2:12

Let us heed the prophet’s words and return to the Lord—together. We invite you to pursue one or more of these opportunities for worship, reflection and fasting with the Villanova community as we journey toward the Resurrection of Our Lord.

8:30 AM - Word Service
12:05 PM - Mass
3:00 PM - Ecumenical Protestant Service
5:30 PM - Mass

Due to "Slow the Spread" directives, please note the following:

All liturgies will be available via livestream

Pre-registration is closed; we have reached maximum in-person capacity for all liturgies. (No more liturgies will be added.)

We know that many of you are making an extra sacrifice by not being able to attend in person. During this difficult time, may we all be renewed in whatever way we celebrate this day: attending liturgy via livestream, spending quiet time in church or at home in prayer, and allowing the spirit of Ash Wednesday to carry us forward as we begin the season of Lent together.

Join us for an hour on the Fridays of Lent to learn about Pope Francis’ new encyclical on fraternity and social friendship, and how it can strengthen our Caritas commitment. See details about this virtual speaker series and reading groups. ACS approved.

Reflect on words of inspiration based on Scripture and written by Villanovans. Sign up to receive daily emails or download the PDF booklet.

Faculty, staff and grad students are invited to join us for the Lenten retreat "Journeying with Jesus." For details and to register, see Spring 2021 Retreats.

Cut back on your use of plastic items in your daily life and have meaningful dialogues with other Villanovans about what it means to live intentionally in our time. See details and register.
