Pre-consumer food waste is currently diverted from landfill or incineration through aerobic biodigestion systems in these locations:
- Dougherty Hall
- Donahue Hall
- Finneran Pavilion
- Widger Law School
The image at the top of this page shows one of our new digesters that is used to process food waste on campus. More than 1,000 pounds of food waste is processed through these systems each day.
