Ranked Among the Nation's Best

Ranked as one of America’s top universities by U.S. News and World Report, Villanova University offers rigorous academics, a wealth of majors and minors, abundant opportunities for undergraduate research and a supportive Augustinian community that helps every student succeed on campus and after graduation. Our 6,500 undergraduate students – including students from nearly 50 countries around the world – are challenged in classrooms and labs and find friends in their residence halls, at sporting events, in service work and everywhere else they go.

WHY VILLANOVA?

Villanova students learn to think critically, act compassionately and succeed while serving others, and are prepared to become ethical leaders who create positive change everywhere life takes them.

Situated on 260 tree-lined acres, Villanova offers the best of both worlds. There are quiet, peaceful areas for study and reflection, and bustling, student-filled spaces when you’re looking for fun and friendship. Villanova is just 12 miles from Philadelphia, America’s sixth-largest city and a UNESCO World Heritage City, packed with theatres, museums and attractions that make it a must-see for tourists. In addition, New York City and Washington, DC are popular day trip destinations. Transportation is readily available by bus and train, and Philadelphia International Airport is just minutes away.

International students are encouraged to apply early to Villanova. Specific information about requirements and deadlines can be found here:

We believe learning isn’t confined to a classroom. At Villanova, your educational experience will take place in your residence hall (where most students live for at least three years), in student organizations and on enriching field trips and service missions. And you’ll be supported every step of the way by groups and organizations devoted to the unique needs of international students.

Villanova is recognized on several rankings lists as an excellent value university with a high return on investment. International students are eligible to apply for merit scholarships as well as limited need-based financial aid.

Admission for international students (non-U.S. citizens or permanent residents) is need-aware, which means a family’s ability to pay for a student's education may be a factor in the admission decision.
