Dear New Student,

I am pleased to welcome you to Villanova University as a member of the Class of 2026. Villanova is committed to providing a healthy and safe environment for our community to ensure an upcoming vibrant and successful academic year. Part of this commitment to health and safety will be a continuation of the COVID-19 vaccine as one of Villanova’s required vaccines. Please read this email in full for important details and action items for all incoming students related to the COVID-19 vaccine requirement for the 2022-23 academic year as well as necessary information for submitting your Student Health Record.

COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement

Incoming students are required to have completed the primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine, which includes two shots of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines, or a single shot of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. The University recommends that all new students also receive a COVID-19 booster, but a booster is not required at this time.

The vaccine requirement applies to all new students who are enrolled in any in-person class for the 2022-23 academic year.

Uploading Vaccination Information—Student Health Record

All new undergraduate students must upload their Student Health Record, which includes their required vaccine documentation, into Villanova’s secure portal——no later than Friday, July 1, 2022.

In the event that your primary series COVID-19 vaccine is not completed by July 1, 2022, upload your Student Health Record as soon as the series is completed. Vaccine documentation will be part of each student’s health record through the Student Health Center. All documentation will be kept confidential.

Religious or Medical Accommodation

Accommodations to Villanova’s required vaccines may be requested for medical or religious reasons. Students seeking a religious or medical accommodation can access the necessary form on Villanova’s secure portal— All accommodation requests must be submitted by Friday, July 15, 2022.

Questions regarding vaccine requirements or an accommodation may be directed to the Student Health Center at or (610) 519-4070.

We look forward to your arrival in August. Have a safe and enjoyable summer.
