As an interdisciplinary program, our course offerings span across several departments and disciplines.

Students can take courses on the language, history, culture, religion, politics, literature and society of the Arab world, preparing them for work in a variety of fields or graduate school.

The Arab and Islamic major has an academic partnership with the Department of Global and Interdisciplinary Studies (GIS), offering academic programs in six area studies, Gender and Women's Studies and Peace and Justice.
