Describe your interest in your academic program and what you hope to gain from it.

As someone who has discerned a vocation to the intellectual life, pursuing graduate education in theology seemed like the obvious choice. As a theologian, I hope to grow not only in my own proficiency and career, but also grow with others on this same journey, answering the questions closest to my heart.

What is your favorite course you’ve taken so far? If you are in your first year, what course are you most looking forward to in your program? Why?

My favorite course that I've taken so far is my Foundations of Biblical Studies course. I spent a week in the Holy Land this past March, so opening up the Bible in retrospect takes on a new life that has been deeply fruitful for my growth in the short time I've been at Villanova.

What are a few things you would like to share with prospective students regarding the Villanova student experience?

There is always something to do or get involved with to complement your studies. Whether it be a club or the opportunity to complement your studies with digital scholarship and media production, the Villanova student experience has allowed me to complement and deepen my studies through the opportunities available.

How do you maintain a good school/life balance?

Building a routine that integrates both academic and personal time has been greatly beneficial to my success in graduate school. Remember to call your friends and family!

If you’re living around Villanova, what are one to two “must do” experiences you would suggest to students new to Villanova and the surrounding area including Philadelphia?

Coming from a largely homogeneous cultural background and environment, I am in love with the variety of foods here! I'm a big lover of Middle Eastern food, and love the selection out here.

Describe what it means to be a graduate student at Villanova. In other words, why Villanova?

Villanova cares about the holistic development of the person. If you wish to integrate the development of your mind with your body and spirit, Villanova is the place to be.
