"I love Villanova's motto: Veritas, Unitas, Caritas. It's amazing to be surrounded by people who embody this! "
Describe your interest in your academic program and what you hope to gain from it.
In undergrad, I majored in Public Health and minored in Biology. I thought this program would be a really good opportunity to continue to develop and expand my love for Biology. I hope to gain some research experience and to push myself out of my comfort zone!
What is your favorite course you’ve taken so far? If you are in your first year, what course are you most looking forward to in your program? Why?
I'm absolutely loving both courses I'm in right now - cell signaling and virology. The professors here are extremely knowledgeable and passionate. It's been an honor getting to learn from them! I'm looking to continue getting research experience here as well.
What are a few things you would like to share with prospective students regarding the Villanova student experience?
There's an incredible community here! Everyone is very welcoming and happy to help you whenever you need it.
How do you maintain a good school/life balance?
I'm also on the varsity women's tennis team, so it's been a pretty hectic schedule. However, it's definitely possible to have a good school/life balance if you're on top of your schedule and planning out your assignments. Also, it's important to spend time with friends!
If you’re living around Villanova, what are one to two “must do” experiences you would suggest to students new to Villanova and the surrounding area including Philadelphia?
I'm new to the city, so I'm still learning the best restaurants. So far I've loved El Vez, the Continental and the White Dog Cafe!
Describe what it means to be a graduate student at Villanova. In other words, why Villanova?
