Church Today: Responding to the Sexual Abuse Crisis in the Catholic Church, 3/20

Scholars of law, theology and philosophy will come together for a day-long conference to explore issues surrounding the modern Catholic Church today in wake of the sexual abuse crisis. Sponsored by the Eleanor H. McCullen Center for Law, Religion and Public Policy and the Villanova University Department of Philosophy, the conference will feature 29 sessions with subject matter experts and religious leaders.

Throughout the day the sessions will look at the following overarching themes: Law and Reform; Understanding Sexual Abuse; Church, Liturgy and the Universities; Catholic Social Teaching and Catholic Morality; Lay Ministry; Management and Leadership; and the Future of the Church.

Other sponsors include the Office of the President, the Office of the Provost, the Task Force on the Sexual Abuse Crisis and the Department of Theology and Religious Studies.
