Villanova’s Master’s in Cybersecurity is ideal for working professionals seeking to advance, as well as those aspiring to the plentiful career opportunities in this burgeoning field. Admission is granted to qualified applicants with bachelor’s degrees in Engineering, Computer Science and Math.

In the program’s three areas of concentration—Systems, Policy and Operations—courses include:

  • Cyber-Physical System Security
  • Secure Software Development
  • Security Risk Assessment and Management
  • Cybersecurity Behavioral Analytics
  • Ethical Hacking
  • Computer Forensics

In addition to required track courses, more than a dozen electives are available within Engineering, Computer Science and Math. Courses through Villanova School of Business’ MBA program are also elective options.

Cybersecurity can be pursued part time or full time, on campus or online through the traditional master’s degree program. A Cybersecurity graduate certificate is also available, as well as a certificate with a concentration in Cyber-Physical and Control Systems Security. The College of Engineering also offers a PhD program with a concentration in Cybersecurity.  

Flexible Options

Classes are conveniently held in the evenings to allow you to successfully balance work and family while earning your degree. You can participate in class on campus, in real-time (synchronously) via our E-Learning program, or on your own schedule through recorded materials and lectures. Our graduate programs are unique in that you can combine online and on campus options, attending class or participating remotely depending upon your availability and preference. You can also complete your cybersecurity engineering graduate degree entirely online.
