PROGRAM EXPERIENCE
Yes. Courses include two hours per week of live online instruction and discussion, plus approximately two hours per week of readings and exercises outside of class sessions.
The live online instruction is delivered via Zoom.
Enrolled participants will gain access to course materials about one week before the first course. Instructions will be emailed to participants closer to the program start date.
We aim to build a diverse cohort of seasoned and high-potential healthcare professionals from all corners of the healthcare industry. Participants may be patient-facing or on the business side of the industry, and may include professionals in the following areas:
- Nursing leadership
- Healthcare administration
- Pharmaceutical industry
- Healthcare provider

- Medical device/supply
Yes, one of the valuable benefits of attending our live online program is the opportunity to grow your professional network and learn from other colleagues in the healthcare industry. Our live sessions include group discussions and informal networking opportunities to deepen relationships.
Participants are strongly encouraged to attend every class session so that the learning experience is richer for everyone. We also recognize and appreciate the challenges our executives face in balancing work, family, and academic pursuits and that it may not always be possible to attend every session. If you need to miss a live session, we request that you discuss with your professor and follow up on any missed assignments. All sessions will be recorded and posted for reference.
APPLYING
Yes. Participants in this certificate program will have relevant experience and all qualifications will be reviewed. If you have any questions about this requirement, please contact us at executive@villanova.edu.
No. You can take the required courses in any order. To earn the certificate, all four courses must be completed within three years.
Credit for successful completion of the Certificate in Healthcare Design & Innovation program may be applied toward some graduate programs at Villanova University, subject to approval. Please contact us at executive@villanova.edu to learn more.
PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS
The tuition for the first course is paid upon acceptance of your application. Due dates for remaining payments are set by the Villanova University Bursar’s Office. Participants may defer their attendance to a future program. Please contact us at executive@villanova.edu prior to the start of the course to defer your attendance to a future program.
Participants who cancel their registration during the first week of a course will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations during the second and up to the third week of a course will receive a 75% refund. No refund will be issued for cancellations thereafter.
