FINANCIAL AFFAIRS

Mission Statement:

The Office of Financial Affairs is responsible for safeguarding and managing the University’s financial resources in support of the University’s mission and Strategic Plan, while ensuring the University’s financial sustainability and upholding its commitment to academic excellence and the educational experience of its students.  Our office is guided in its efforts by the University’s Augustinian Catholic values, including a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Financial Affairs consists of the Controller’s Office (Accounting and Financial Information Systems, the Bursar's Office, the Payroll Office, the Procurement Office, and the Research Accounting Office), the Budget Office, the Office of Insurance and Risk Management, and the Investment Office.

 

Responsibilities:

Collectively, the units which comprise Financial Affairs departments steward the University’s assets, provide accurate and timely financial reporting, plan for the University’s financial future, promote fiscal responsibility and stewardship across the University, maintain an environment of sound internal controls and prudent risk management, ensure compliance with federal, state, local and internal financial policies, procedures, and regulations, and provide guidance, support and customer service to faculty, staff, students, families, and other constituencies.
