ODEI NEWS & HIGHLIGHTS
VSB ODEI is committed to providing news and information that drive our plan for a more inclusive and welcoming environment.
Native American Heritage Month | November 1-30
Native American Heritage Month (NAHM), which was first observed in 1990, celebrates the significance of Native American history and honors those who have made and are still making contributions to American society.
We recognize NAHM by exploring the historical prevalence of native heritage, culture, and experiences. The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) at VSB is happy to recognize and honor this purpose by hosting and promoting events aligned with celebrating NAHM for students, faculty, and staff.

"One of the greatest things you have in life is that no one has the authority to tell you what you want to be. You're the one who'll decide what you want to be. Respect yourself and respect the integrity of others as well. The greatest thing you have is your self image, a positive opinion of yourself. You must never let anyone take it from you." -Jaime Escalante, Bolivian-American educator, La Paz, Bolivia
