OFFICE OF DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION
VSB will be a leader in creating an inclusive, equitable and diverse community that serves all members and stakeholders and reflects the University’s commitment to equality, justice and mutual respect. VSB will also seek to increase the representation of underrepresented groups across race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, socio-economic, religious and other social identities and backgrounds.
Joyce E. A. Russell, PhD, the Helen and William O’Toole Dean of the Villanova School of Business, shares the various ways business schools can, and should, contribute to diversity, equity and inclusion in their schools as well as in the broader community.
Watch and hear from Aronté Bennett, PhD, Associate Dean of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at VSB.
ODEI NEWS & HIGHLIGHTS
VSB ODEI is committed to providing news and information that drive our plan for a more inclusive and welcoming environment.
Native American Heritage Month | November 1-30
Native American Heritage Month (NAHM), which was first observed in 1990, celebrates the significance of Native American history and honors those who have made and are still making contributions to American society.
We recognize NAHM by exploring the historical prevalence of native heritage, culture, and experiences. The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) at VSB is happy to recognize and honor this purpose by hosting and promoting events aligned with celebrating NAHM for students, faculty, and staff.

"One of the greatest things you have in life is that no one has the authority to tell you what you want to be. You're the one who'll decide what you want to be. Respect yourself and respect the integrity of others as well. The greatest thing you have is your self image, a positive opinion of yourself. You must never let anyone take it from you." -Jaime Escalante, Bolivian-American educator, La Paz, Bolivia
Here is a list of suggested media and resources to explore and connect with groups and organizations celebrating NAHM year-round.
