We believe that promoting a promoting an inclusive community is an integral element of the VSB strategic plan. To support efforts to foster a greater sense of belonging across all of the VSB and Villanova Community, we will challenge ourselves to promote an environment that serves all members with equality, justice and respect.
VSB’S INITIATIVES TO SUPPORT INCLUSIVITY:
- Maintain VSB UNITAS: Office of Community Engagement.
- Facilitate a curriculum for faculty and staff that includes cultural competency training and actively engages the community in dialogue about inclusivity efforts and issues.
- Support the development of a core curriculum that delivers a consistent understanding of the role of business leaders in promoting social justice.
- Insure an accessible experience for all VSB community members.
- Promote engagements, experiences and partnerships that honor the full spectrum of perspective and needs of our students, staff and faculty.
IMPLEMENTING THESE INITIATIVES WILL:
- Shepherd development, dissemination and evaluation of inclusivity efforts in VSB.
- Expose faculty and staff members to inclusive community best practices.
- Cultivate an enriched learning and social environment for all VSB students; one that values the contributions of the full spectrum of community members.
- Enhance a sense of belonging across our community.
- Prepare our community to be respectful, supportive and welcoming of all members.
