The Yellow Ribbon Program

GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).  The Yellow Ribbon Program offers participating students additional funding towards the cost of tution and fees.   For more information about the Yellow Ribbon Program and eligibility requirements please visit: Yellow Ribbon.

Recipients of the yellow ribbon program will be provided up to $4,150 from Villanova University. This amount will be matched by the VA and the combined funding cannot exceed $8,300 for the 2018 - 2019 academic year. (Aug.1 - Jul. 31)  Villanova provides yellow ribbon funding to a maximum of 18 students annually.  Villanova's participation in the Yellow Ribbon program is reviewed annually and subject to VA approval. 

The Yellow Ribbon Program is awarded to qualifying students on a first-come, first-served basis. To be considered, qualifying students must:

  • Be eligible for the maximum benefit rate under the Post 9/11 GI Bill®
  • Not be serving on active duty or a spouse of an active duty member utilizing the transferred entitlement
  • Be accepted into or already enrolled in a degree program at Villanova University
  • Submit a copy of their Certificate of Eligibility (COE) to Villanova University's School Certifying Official (listed below).

Recipients will be selected based upon the date by which all conditions are met.

Students interested in the Yellow Ribbon Program for future terms must submit an application in order to be placed on the waitlist.  Students will be contacted by Villanova's SCO when they have been selected to participate in the program.  If you do not meet the above qualifications or have not submitted your COE your application will not warrant further consideration.

Announcements

Villanova University will be closed Wednesday, November 21, 2018 thru Friday, November 23, 2018 in observance of Thanksgiving Day.  Electronic transcripts are availalbe while the University is closed.  Paper transcripts will be processed and mailed when the office reopens.

Students expecting degrees for December 2018:

Please verify your degree status by accessing the Verify Diploma Information link from the Graduation Channel on the Student Tab of myNOVA.   If you are expecting a diploma and no degree information appears here, please contact registrar@villanova.edu at once.  December 2018 degrees will be posted to transcripts by January 15, 2019. Diplomas will be mailed directly to the address specified on your Prospective Graduation Form or Application to Graduate.  Degree candidates: please select the hold for degree option when ordering a transcript.
