The Matthew J. Ryan Center for the Study of Free Institutions and the Public Good promotes inquiry into the principles and processes of free government and seeks to advance understanding of the responsibilities of statesmen and stateswomen, and citizens of constitutional democratic societies.

The Ryan Center is dedicated to supporting honest, open and rigorous discussion about political liberty and the public good. We provide opportunities to Villanova’s students, faculty, staff, as well as the larger community for reflection, conversation, and fellowship tied to a common interest in pursuing the societal good.
