CREATIVITAS: DISPLAYS OF BEAUTY IN RESEARCH COMPETITION
Art is everywhere, especially in research! Students will submit original images that celebrate the beauty inherent in research and scholarship. Researchers from all disciplines can utilize this competition to make their research accessible to a broader public.

Currently enrolled undergraduate students at Villanova University from all colleges and majors.
All undergraduate researchers must collaborate on the Creativitas submission form with their faculty mentor(s).
Each researcher (or research team if a group submission) may enter up to five submissions.
Each submission must include one image accompanied by a brief title/caption and description. Students should consider using non-technical language in order to engage with a general audience.
Images must be the result of original research affiliated with Villanova University.
By participating in this competition, each researcher (or research team if a group submission) agrees that their submission(s) may be used for campus promotional and publicity purposes.
Student submissions will be judged on their creativity, aesthetic appeal, and how well they convey the beauty of research.
Submissions may include anything produced throughout the research process, such as illustrations, photographs, visualizations, etc. Examples might include sketches, images from microscopes, telescopes, video stills, renderings, graphs, pressings, observations from fieldwork, representations of physical objects related to research, and more.
Maximum file size accepted is 1GB.
The top three submissions will receive (1) a monetary prize, (2) will be highlighted as an exhibit in the Villanova Art Gallery at the Student Showcase on Thursday, January 30th from 4pm until 6pm, and (3) will be displayed in the Art Gallery throughout the spring 2025 semester.
