PEDIATRIC POST-GRADUATE CERTIFICATE

The post-graduate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certificate is designed to prepare experienced nurses for career advancement in caring for patients in a pediatric primary care setting. Clinical courses build on existing skills and broaden knowledge base related to care of children essential to independent or collaborative practice in primary care settings. Students work with physicians and nurse practitioner preceptors in a wide variety of clinical agencies and practice settings.

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certificate is 30 credits and 610 clinical hours. The minimum time for program completion is 1.5 years, and students have up to five years to complete certificate requirements from first enrollment. Support courses are offered on-campus at Villanova University or online, while clinical courses are taught on-site.
