Each semester the Department of Humanities hosts a lecture that speaks from the heart of our commitment to the intellectual life at Villanova University.

Our annual fall Faith and Culture Lecture considers the many ways in which our world is enriched by epiphanies of beauty in art, literature, and contemplation. The annual spring Faith and Reason Lecture has traditionally been given by a senior faculty member in the department, who, drawing on his or her research, offers insights into the great questions of human flourishing to which our curriculum is devoted.
