In today's rapidly changing technological environment, computing professionals need to have the most up-to-date and comprehensive education. To achieve these important goals, the Department of Computing Sciences at Villanova University offers a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a Master of Science in Computer Science, a Master of Science in Software Engineering and a Graduate Certificate in Health Informatics. We also offer a bachelors/masters program, a Computer Science minor and a Cybersecurity Minor. In addition to our programs, we provide courses for all majors and support other programs such as Cognitive Science, Professional Studies and Computer Engineering.
Tenure Track Position
The Department of Computing Sciences at Villanova University seeks applications for a tenure track position in Computer Science at the rank of Assistant Professor. The appointment will be effective in Fall 2023. Review of applications is ongoing and will continue until the position is filled.
Minimum qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science or related field; an active research agenda leading to high quality publications; commitment to effective teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels; support for interdisciplinary teaching and research; and commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and multicultural competence in an educational environment. Areas of particular interest include Virtual Reality, Data Science/Machine Learning, and Cybersecurity. Strong candidates in other areas are welcome to apply.
