SUPPORT THE DEAN'S FUND FOR STRATEGIC INITIATIVES

Comprising gifts from generous donors, this important fund gives Adele Lindenmeyr, PhD, William and Julia Moulden Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the flexibility to act quickly to support key opportunities and high-impact programs, directly benefiting students. 

It has made possible numerous programs and initiatives, including: 

• Launching two new Centers of Excellence: the Center for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Stewardship (CBEST) and the Center for Political Theology.
• Sponsoring unique, faculty-led embedded-travel courses, including: “Writing through Conflict,” with travel to Belfast, Ireland; and “Borderlands,” with travel to Cyprus.
• Developing the new student immersion program, Villanova at the Agency, which introduces Communication and Marketing students to highly placed alumni in New York.
• Creating a new major in Public Administration and a new minor in Disability and Deaf Studies in response to student demand.
• Opening the new Wynne Commons on the ground floor of Mendel Science Center, providing much-needed student gathering space and a café.

Thanks to your support, these are just a few of the ways the CLAS Dean’s Fund for Strategic Initiatives enhances academic and experiential opportunities for our students, enriching their experience in the classroom and beyond.

Contributions to the Dean’s Fund for Strategic Initiatives can be made through an outright gift, multi-year pledge or an endowed gift. Gifts of all sizes provide dedicated resources to seed strategic initiatives and enhance current programs.
