McCullen Center for Law, Religion and Public Policy welcomes Nikki Haley, former governor of South Carolina (2011-2017) and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations (2017-2019). The 63rd Annual Theodore L. Reimel ’24 CLAS Moot Court Competition concluded on Thursday, November 17, after weeks of preparation and preliminary trial rounds. Daniel Goldfield ’24 and Anna O’Brien ’24, who argued for the Respondent, were victorious.
Juan Dawson ’22 always felt drawn to our nation’s capital. He recently fulfilled his goal of practicing law in Washington, DC when he started his legal career as an energy associate with Troutman Pepper. There, Dawson represents clients in the energy industry before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and state energy regulatory agencies.
Villanova University announced the appointment of Stephen Olsen ’07 JD, ’09 LLM, as associate professor of practice and faculty director of its Graduate Tax Program. Olsen joins Villanova from Gawthrop Greenwood, PC, a West Chester, PA and Wilmington, DE-based law firm, where he will continue to work as of counsel assisting the firm’s clients. In his new role at Villanova, Olsen will oversee the University’s nationally recognized graduate tax program, which offers both online and in-person courses.
