Dean Mark Alexander Chosen as President-Elect of Association of American Law Schools

Mark C. Alexander, The Arthur J. Kania Dean of the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, was recently elected as the President-Elect of The Association of American Law Schools (AALS). After serving as President-Elect this year, he will serve as President in the 2023 calendar year.

Jennifer Henfey Named Associate Dean for Professional Development and Leadership

Mark C. Alexander, The Arthur J. Kania Dean and Professor of Law, recently announced the appointment of Jennifer Henfey ’99 to the newly established position of Associate Dean for Professional Development and Leadership for the Charles Widger School of Law. Since 2011 Henfey has led the Office of Career Strategy and Advancement as Executive Director and then as Assistant Dean.

Isabelle Roman ’23 and Alexandra Romano ’23 Win 62nd Annual Theodore L. Reimel Moot Court Competition

After weeks of preparation and preliminary trials, the final round of the 62nd Annual Theodore L. Reimel ’24 CLAS Moot Court Competition concluded on Thursday, November 18, 2021. The case argued in this year’s competition focused an adolescent fighting a deadly, aggressive cancer who refused to undergo advanced treatment despite the expressed desires of her mother and her medical team. Isabelle Roman ’23 and Alexandra Romano ’23, who argued for the appellees, were victorious.
