Mike O’Neill Vice President for University Advancement

Dear Villanova Alumni, Parents and Friends,

Campus is bustling with activity: in our classrooms and labs, residence and dining halls, athletic fields and recreation facilities. It is great to have everyone back, and we are looking forward to all of us finally being together—here—in this place that we cherish so much.

Today and every day, I am filled with a range of emotions that gets to the heart of what it means to be a Villanovan.

I am filled with hope. Our community continues to embrace our core Augustinian values of Veritas, Unitas, Caritas, finding common ground and learning from one another. Our courage, resilience and faith drive us, in the words of St. Augustine, “To become what we are not yet.”

I am filled with gratitude. The past months have been challenging, yet our community has stepped up to give back to this great University. Together, we continue to open doors, providing opportunities for so many deserving students who will only serve to strengthen the fabric of who we are.

And finally, I am filled with inspiration. The research taking place here is helping to ignite change in our communities—and around the world. It is helping others by not only improving, but also by saving lives. Our students who volunteer their time on campus, in Philadelphia, in our nation and other countries, embody what it means to uplift and help one another for the betterment of everyone.

Thank you for being a part of our community, and for all that you do to make it the very special place that is Villanova University.
