Heterogeneous Autonomous Vehicles Laboratory (HAVLab)

Many autonomous vehicles today rely on external positioning systems and centralized computers to process data and relay commands. Villanova’s Heterogeneous Autonomous Vehicles laboratory is developing automatic control, image processing and data fusion techniques that will allow these vehicles to function independently from external sources and rely on onboard sensors and processing to make decisions.  The goal is also to allow vehicles to collaborate with others of the same or different nature.

HAVLab is part of the Center for Nonlinear Dynamics and Control (CENDAC).
