Villanova University Recognizes John G. Drosdick’s Ongoing Commitment to the College of Engineering’s Building Expansion Project by Naming the Building in his Honor

Villanova University President, the Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, PhD, has announced that in recognition of $20 million in support of the College of Engineering building expansion project by John G. Drosdick ’65, retired chief executive officer and president of Sunoco, Inc., the College’s soon-to-be-completed new building will be named Drosdick Hall.

Jene Baquet '26 VSB Selected for The Washington Program by The Institute of Responsible Citizenship

Villanova University sophomore Jene Baquet ’26 VSB has been selected by The Institute of Responsible Citizenship to participate in its highly selective Washington Program, a two-summer opportunity that supports some of the best and brightest African American male college students in the country. Baquet will be one of twelve students as part of the cohort for the Class of 2025 and is the third Villanovan to be selected to participate in this competitive program.

Villanova University Named Top Producer of Fulbright U.S. Students for 16th Consecutive Year

Villanova University has been named a top producer of Fulbright U.S. Students for a 16th consecutive year, as recently announced by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government’s flagship international educational exchange program and top-producing colleges and universities are highlighted annually in The Chronicle of Higher Education. Villanova had 27 Fulbright recipients for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Villanova University Announces Plan for New Building to House Falvey Library

Villanova University President the Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, PhD, has announced plans for a new 150,000-square-foot building for Falvey Library at the current site of Kennedy Hall. The new building will be named Vic Maggitti Hall in recognition of a previously announced $20 million leadership gift from Victor J. Maggitti, Jr. ’56 VSB.
