Academic Integrity Training for Incoming Students

All incoming Villanova students are required to complete the following academic integrity training by August 15, 2024:

 

Student Instructions for Academic Integrity Tutorial (RAISE Program)

Although the RAISE Program is mobile-friendly, it is strongly suggested that you use a desktop or laptop computer to create your account. The program will take approximately 45-55 minutes to complete. 

  • Visit the login page for the Raise program and save the link in your favorites so that you can return to it later if you do not complete the entire program in one sitting.
  • Click on the yellow “Create Account” button on the left. This will take you to a form that you must fill in as instructed below.
    • Email address:  Enter your Villanova email address
    • Password:  Choose a password that you will remember
    • First name:  Enter the legal first name that is associated with your Villanova registration
    • Last name:  Enter the legal last name that is associated with your Villanova registration
    • User Type:  Student
    • College or University:  Villanova
  • A green message will appear on the screen notifying you that your account has been created and that you are logged in. A confirmation email will also be sent to your Villanova email address. 
  •  Click on “Catalog.”  Select “RAISE – Raising Academic Integrity Standards in Education” by clicking on the green button marked “Register $55.”  You will not pay this fee. Instead, you will enter a discount code that will make the course available to you free of charge.
  • Once you have clicked on “Register $55,” you will see a pop-up with Registration Options. Click on “Complete Registration Now.” This will take you to your cart. 
  •  Enter the discount code NOVA2024 and click “Apply Discount” and then “Complete Registration.”
  •  To access the Course from here, you can click on the green “View Product” button or your Dashboard.
  • Read the box that begins “Welcome to RAISE,” click on “Read Terms,” and agree to the terms in order to start the course. You can then open and start Section One.
  • After you pass an assessment for each section and are returned to the main course page, the section you most recently completed successfully should be marked with a green check mark, and the next section should become available for you to begin. If your recently completed section is not marked green, try refreshing the page.
  • The course is in six parts: a welcome and five sections. You will be tested at the end of each section. If you fail a test, you will be linked back to the beginning of that section so that you can review the materials again. You will then be given another test. This test will not be identical to the one you failed.
  • You can complete this course in multiple sessions or in one session from start to finish, but it must be completed in the sequence dictated by the course; you cannot complete the sections out of sequence. If you complete it in multiple sessions, you will need to retain the password you recorded so you can log in and access the course when you return.  When you return, you should sign in via the Sign In box on the left of the screen.
  • When you have successfully completed the entire course, your completion certificate will appear.  Click on “Print This Page,” but instead of printing, save the certificate as a pdf.
  • You will receive an email at your Villanova address documenting your completion of the RAISE Program. Forward this email and a pdf attachment of your completion certificate to academic.integrity@villanova.edu.

 

Academic Integrity Tutorial (RAISE Program) FAQs

Yes. When you come back to the program and sign in again using the email address and password that you entered to create your account, you will be returned to where you left off. Additionally, the University has a record of your progress.

The program must be completed by August 15, 2024.

A registration hold will be placed on your account, which will prevent you from registering in future semesters until the course is completed and the hold removed.

No. While your major or college may have an additional academic integrity program you must take, all incoming Villanova students, regardless of major or college, are required to take the RAISE program, which is sponsored by the University.
