Villanova Engineering Student Awarded for Best Presentation in International Internship Program
Andrew Lee '19 ME
Mechanical Engineering junior Andrew Lee spent his summer in Grenoble, France, at the Grenoble Innovation for Advanced New Technologies (GIANT) campus where he worked on nanomaterial research. At the final symposium of the 10-week GIANT International Internship Programme (GIIP), Andrew received the best presentation award. This year’s GIIP included 35 students from 10 universities.
Andrew’s work focused on the “Wettability of Zinc Oxide Nanowire Surfaces for Water Collection and Purification,” which was part of the larger Research and Education in Active Coatings Technologies for the Human Habitat (REACT) program based at University of Pennsylvania. Andrew is the second Villanova student to join REACT for summer at GIANT.
Applications for Summer 2018 will be accepted in Fall 2017.
