Engineering Associate Dean Recognized with Inaugural Faculty Award

At the “Wildcat Crossing Recognition Ceremony” on May 18, Stephen Jones, PhD, the College of Engineering’s Associate Dean of Students and Strategic Programs, was presented with the inaugural Wildcat Crossing Faculty Award.  The Wildcat Crossing Recognition Ceremony honors under-represented and/or first-generation students who, through unyielding determination, successfully completed an undergraduate or graduate degree from Villanova University. 

Students were asked to nominate a faculty member who helped them on their journey and who embodies the values of Veritas, Unitas, Caritas. One of Dr. Jones's nomination letters read in-part, “Dr. Jones, without a doubt, exemplifies the growth of the Villanova community. He works with students of all ages from the inner city, and takes time to be a wonderful mentor. He promotes love and understanding in the Villanova community.”

College of Engineering Drosdick Endowed Dean Gary A. Gabriele, PhD, congratulated Dr. Jones on this well-deserved recognition and added, “Thanks for all you’re doing for this group of students.”
