Caritas  Service Learning Community

A choice in the COMMUNITAS EXPERIENCE

For First year students who want to serve.

The First Year Service-Learning Community will engage students in action and dialogue about the issues that affect the people they serve that takes seriously the perspective of a hardworking, proud, a low income Latinx community. Students will serve in an after-school program service that contributes to the ACLAMO community as well as their own understanding of the world.

Fourth Hour

To examine issues that affect the Norristwon Community and children of ACLAMO.

Service  (currently virtual 1 day a week for 2 hours)

“The tutors come to ACLAMO every day to help us with our homework and studying for our tests. The tutors are friendly, and they have the knowledge and skills to do everything well. The tutors have helped me to get all A’s in my classes. Sometimes they have parties for us to celebrate the holidays. I really enjoy these parties!  Finally, I would like to thank every one of you for making this program possible, you are truly preparing us for the future we have ahead!  I want to be a lawyer someday. Then, I can give back to ACLAMO all it gave to me.”  ACLAMO afterschool program attendee.
