ACADEMIC ADVISING
Academic advising in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences provides individual attention and guidance to students as they transition into college and begin to explore their educational interests.
Faculty advisors engage students in conversation about their academic interests, courses and goals, enabling them to make informed decisions about their educational and professional direction. By connecting students to a wide variety of experiential learning opportunities and support services, we seek to promote student development and facilitate student success.
In their first year, students are enrolled in "Advising: Explore and Experience," which provides them with tools, knowledge and resources to help them get the most out of their experience in the College.
Admitted Students: Please visit Advising for First-Year Students with your VU login information to find out more details.
