MINORITY ALUMNI SOCIETY MENTORING
The Minority Alumni Society partners with Villanova Law minority student organizations to match minority alumni volunteers with minority students who share similar interests.
Alumni mentors provide students/mentees with the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and insight into their careers as practicing attorneys, while also sharing practical advice concerning the challenges of law school.
The Minority Mentoring Program kicks off in the fall and the formal mentoring relationship typically lasts for one academic year. Interested students are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible to give themselves the advantage of having an alumni mentor throughout the school year. It is recommended that mentors and mentees communicate with each other at least twice per month via telephone, email and/or personal visits. Alumni do not need to reside in the Philadelphia area to serve as a mentor.
