A Student-Fun Equity Fund Provides Hands-on Experience for Students Pursuing Careers in Financial Services

The Villanova Wildcat Fund is a student-managed investment fund with over $2 million in assets under management, providing hands-on experience for those pursuing careers in financial services—including sales and trading, investment banking, and asset management. “The Wildcat Fund offered us the opportunity to manage real money,” said Jennifer Overlan ’22 VSB. “That real-world experience and ability to highlight skills that mirror qualifications for internships like this are game-changing.”

Villanova Engineering Professor Awarded Patent for Isothermal Compression System Design

Villanova University’s Sylvie Lorente, PhD, Associate Dean for Research and Innovation and the William M. Brown ’84, ’87 Endowed Chair in Mechanical Engineering in the College of Engineering, has been awarded a patent for the design of an isothermal compression system that compresses and expands air without significant temperature changes.

Villanova University has been named a top producer of Fulbright U.S. Students for a 17th consecutive year. The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government’s flagship international educational exchange program and top-producing colleges and universities are highlighted annually in The Chronicle of Higher Education. Villanova had 18 Fulbright recipients for the 2024-2025 academic year.
