Personal Training


Personal training sessions are available to Villanova students, faculty and staff as well as “Friends of Villanova”.  Individuals must present a valid wildcard, with access to the University fitness center, in order to purchase personal training sessions.  Individuals interested in purchasing personal training packages will be required to meet with a Recreation Department representative in order to purchase their package and complete a fitness self-assessment.  Additionally, each participant will be required to sign an informed consent and waiver and make their payment, in full, at the time of registration/purchase. You will be asked for your health insurance information at registration.  Please bring your insurance card with you to registration.

To Register: Set up a registration meeting by emailing Gina Palermo, Fitness and Recreation Coordinator,:

Fitness center orientation and introduction to equipment (approx. 45 min)
One-hour personal training sessions *
Half-hour personal training sessions *
* Individuals purchasing training sessions will be required to purchase at least four sessions.  Each purchase will come with a free body composition test (if desired).


Cash, Checks (made out to Villanova University), and WildCard will be the accepted forms of payment.  All sessions are non-refundable and will expire 6 months after date of purchase.  Sessions can only be redeemed by the purchaser

Meet our Personal Trainers

After registration, each client will be assigned to a personal trainer based on mutual availability.  Clients will be contacted by their trainer, within two business days of registration, to discuss the client’s goals and coordinate meeting times and dates. 

Mika Popa (Available Mondays- Fridays 8:00AM-3PM)

As a Certifed Personal Trainer, Mika specializes in the areas of weight loss, resistance training, circuit training, functional training, custom training routines and life-changing counseling. Mika believes that fitness is the cornerstone to overall health and wellness and that getting fit is the first step to a new and healthy lifestyle. Her mission is to help clients achieve their fitness goals. With more than 20 years of athletic and fitness experience, Mika has a Master's degree in Physical Education and has been nationally certified since 2003 by the American Council on Exercise (ACE). 


Zane Hadzick (Available Monday-Friaday 7AM-8:30AM and Weekends 7AM-2PM)

Zane's commitment to health, fitness, and exercise began out of necessity, but grew into a passion. On the brink of diabetes, Zane dove into fitness and over the last 10 years shared his passion, work ethic, and enthusiasm for training and living a healthy lifestyle with others.  Zane has his National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer Certification (CPT), and he is a sponsored athlete with several health and supplement companies.  He has over a decade of experience training and working with clients. He also writes training, nutritional, and motivational content for print and online publication.  Zane has experience working with all ages and fitness levels.  Zane currently works for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and holds a BS in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park and MS in Natural Resources and Environment from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. 

Tara Huang (Available Tuesday/Thurs 7AM-8AM or after 5PM and Weekends Mid-Morning)

Personal Trainer Tara (Available WF 11-2PM; Thurs 11-1PM)

Tara is a certified Personal Trainer through American Aerobic Association International and The International Sports Medicine Association (AAAI-ISMA). She focuses on toning and conditioning using various strength training techniques including free weights, machines, resistance bands, and body weight exercises.  She is also a mom and a local competitive runner and has run the Boston Marathon.  Tara likes to challenge her clients by taking them out of their comfort zone and getting results.  She is also a boot camp instructor and loves making working out fun.  She enjoys making workout plans that incorporate cardio and strength training in ways that make time fly by.  Tara, like many of us, has struggled with weight fluctuations and motivation, but for the last 11 years she has been winning by staying fit while helping clients and friends do the same.

Endre Witthoeft ( Available Tuesday — 11a.m. to 3p.m. Wednesday— 9:30a.m. to 12p.m. Thursday— 11a.m. to 4p.m. Friday— 11a.m. to 1p.m.

Personal Trainer Endre Witthoeft ( Available Monday: 2-3:30,Tuesday: 11:30-3:30,Wednesday: 12:30-3:30, Thursday: 11-3:30,Friday: 12:30-4,Saturday: 1:00-4,Sunday: 1-4. 

Endre is an ACE (American Council on Exercise) certified personal trainer since 1993. He thrives on providing the highest level of fitness training and total health and wellness coaching for over 26 years, it is his calling to help clients achieve their specific goals and engender a healthy & fit lifestyle. Endre lives a very active lifestyle and has completed multiple marathons as well as bike races. Endre also has his very own personal training and group fitness business called TrueGrit Fitness where he trains individuals of all levels and abilities to reach their potential fitness goals.
