The type of photos we're looking for:
- Photos of Villanova students participating in or experiencing local culture
- Photos which highlight experiential opportunities in which you were involved while abroad (e.g. internships, service learning, group excursions etc.).
- Photos of Scenery, Landscapes, Objects, and/or Iconic Imagery of your host city or country.
Upload your photos:
- Create a new Google Drive folder called "First Name Last Name Photo Submissions"
- Upload your photos to your newly created folder in your Google drive
- Refer to the instructions below for naming conventions and adding a description to your photos (if necessary)
*When contributing photos, please submit the highest resolution files you have.
Photo naming conventions:
Once you've uploaded your photos to your new google drive folder:
- Please rename your photos using the following format: firstname_lastname_photolocation.jpg
- Files can be renamed by right-clicking on the file and selecting "rename"
- gif, png, and bmp are also supported file extensions.
- If your photo includes other students:
- Right click the photo and select "view details"
- Click the pencil icon next to the "add a decscription" box to edit the description
- Add the full names of each individual pictured, as well as any additional information you'd like to share

Share your photos with us:
- Right click your Google drive folder and select "Share"
- Type in abroad@villanova.edu
- Click "Done"

Read, complete and agree to the following:
Photograph License and Release
For good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, and intending to be legally bound by this Photograph License & Release:
1. I hereby grant Villanova University (“Villanova”) an unlimited, irrevocable, and unrestricted right, license, and permission to reproduce, distribute, use, re-use, publish, and republish, and create modifications or derivative works of, the photographs described above (the “Photograph(s)”), whether in print, electronic or any other format, without fees, royalties or attribution to me. To the extent that the Photograph(s) include my likeness, I hereby grant Villanova an unlimited, irrevocable, and unrestricted right, license, and permission to use my likeness in connection with the Photograph(s), with or without my name included. To the extent that the Photograph(s) include any other easily identifiable individual(s), I have obtained the permission of such individual(s), and hereby grant to Villanova permission, to use each such individual’s likeness and name in connection with the Photograph(s).
2. I acknowledge and agree that Villanova and any third party acting on Villanova’s behalf shall have the right to exercise the rights and licenses in the Photograph(s) without restrictions or limitations for any educational, promotional, commercial, or non-commercial purpose that Villanova University or those acting on Villanova University’s behalf and authority deem appropriate.
3. I further understand that this Photograph License & Release will extend in perpetuity to assignees, grantees, lessees, or licensees of Villanova, along with any person or entity to whom Villanova gives permission. I hereby release and hold harmless Villanova and those acting on Villanova’s behalf and authority from liability for any violation of any personal or proprietary right in connection with my likeness, name, the Photograph(s), and use thereof. I hereby waive any moral rights and any right I may have to inspect or approve the use of the Photograph(s), my likeness, or name.
