Vetlink Veterans

VILLANOVA, Pa.—Villanova University has announced a new partnership with Service to School’s (S2S) VetLink Program, which expands opportunities and access for highly qualified veterans transitioning to higher education. Through this partnership, Villanova will seek to increase the number of veterans enrolled in undergraduate degree programs at the University. Villanova is VetLink’s 25th partner institution.

“We are extremely excited to work with the VetLink Program to create access points for veterans to connect with Villanova,” said Michael Brown, Director of the Office of Veterans and Military Service Members. “Veterans are a diverse group of people who bring a wide range of skills, knowledge and experience to our classrooms and our community. This partnership directly supports Villanova’s strategic goals of building an ever more inclusive, welcoming community and helping to meet the full financial need for our students.”

“Preparing students to create positive change is deeply embedded in the spirit of Villanova University and a great fit for veterans seeking to prepare for the next chapter in their continued service to those in need,” said Jim Selbe, Chief Operating Officer of Service to School. “We look forward to working with Villanova’s Office of Veterans and Military Service Members to further develop services and programs focused on access and success for our Nation’s veterans.”

Established in 2018, Villanova’s Office of Veterans and Military Service Members is dedicated to assisting veterans and their dependents as they reach personal, professional and academic goals, and committed to providing guidance from admissions to graduation and beyond. Since the Office of Veterans and Military Service Members was created, Villanova expanded its Yellow Ribbon Program and currently has 40 students participating. The Office of Veterans and Military Service Members partnered with Falvey Memorial Library’s Distinctive Collections and Digital Engagement Department to create Lest We Forget: The Villanova Veterans History Project to honor living and deceased veterans with Villanova connections by sharing their stories.
