Civic Education is Needed Now More than Ever

With the advent of high-stakes testing as part of the policies of No Child Left Behind, civics — and social studies in general — has been pushed aside. Since these subjects are not being tested, even educators who may want to explore these topics have little time for them. For years, efforts to make the case for reintroducing civics education have fallen on deaf ears ... until now.
What the Holocaust Can Teach Lawyers Today
"How could the Holocaust happen?" Lawyers and the Holocaust, a Villanova Law course, asks this and many other questions as students examine the history and ethics of the legal profession in Germany prior to the ascension of the Nazi Party, and then during the Nazi period.
Professor Steven Chanenson Named LAPA Fellow at Princeton University
Steven Chanenson, Professor of Law, was recently named a fellow by the Program in Law and Public Affairs (LAPA) at Princeton University for the 2019-2020 academic year. Chanenson was selected from a competitive interdisciplinary and international applicant for pool for the prestigious fellowship.
