The Girard-diCarlo Center will host “The Limits of Advocacy” at John F. Scarpa Hall on Wednesday, October 19. This panel discussion will explore the ethical boundaries for lawyers in today’s society, including issues stemming from the 2020 presidential election and more. Lunch will be provided following the lecture. Quantities limited. No registration is necessary.

  • Ben Ginsberg, Co-Chair of the Election Official Legal Defense Network, Counsel to the George W. Bush campaign and Republican candidates
  • Hon. Mark A. Kearney '84 CLAS, '87 CWSL, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania
  • Abbe Smith, Director of the Criminal Defense and Prisoner Advocacy Clinic, Co-Director of the E. Barrett Prettyman Fellowship Program, and Professor of Law at Georgetown University
