  • Villanova University Names Eric Roedl as Vice President and Director of Athletics

    Villanova University announced that Eric Roedl has been appointed the school's Vice President and Director of Athletics. Roedl, who currently serves as the Deputy Athletic Director and Chief Operating Officer at the University of Oregon, succeeds Mark Jackson, who held the position for nine years prior to departing for the same role at Northwestern University. Roedl will officially start in his new role in early January 2025.

    The Villanova University Alumni Association (VUAA) has announced the selection of Kevin Curley '80 VSB as the recipient of its 2024 Loyalty Award. The oldest alumni honor conferred by the University, the Loyalty Award was instituted in 1932 and is presented annually to alumni who have rendered distinguished service to Villanova.

  • Villanova University and Global Philadelphia Partner to Unveil New Mural as Part of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals

    Villanova University, in partnership with the Global Philadelphia Association, today unveiled a new mural dedicated to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12: Responsible Consumption and Production. Installed on an exterior wall of the Connelly Center, this striking artwork is one of 17 murals across the Philadelphia area designed to raise awareness of the UN SDGs. SDG 12 emphasizes the importance of sustainable practices, reducing waste and fostering a more responsible cycle of production and consumption.

  • Villanova University Names Ariella Robbins as Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

    Villanova University has announced the appointment of Ariella Robbins as Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, effectively immediately. This appointment is the result of a national search led by a committee of faculty, staff, students and administrators. Robbins has served as the Interim Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Villanova since the retirement of Terry Nance, PhD, in December 2023. Prior to that, she was the Assistant Vice President for the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the University.
