VSB's O’Donnell Center for Professional Development Annual Corporate Sponsorship Program offers your organization the opportunity to expand its involvement in VSB’s career and professional development initiatives throughout the full academic year and is designed to complement Villanova University Career Center’s Employer Partner program. The Program enables you to target brand-building efforts to undergraduate and graduate business students. Our sponsorship levels provide mutual benefits to your organization and VSB by connecting you to future talent and assisting VSB in preparing students professional success through programs such as Backpack to Briefcase (B2B), Multicultural Business Association (McBA) Career Program, the Presenting Opportunities for Women (POW) Conference, and various other career education events.

2019-2020 Annual Corporate Sponsorship Packages

This opportunity gives your organization the chance to be the sole sponsor and participate in one of our premier events throughout the academic year. These are available on a first come, first served basis. If you are interested in sponsoring one of our Premier Events, please select your preferred choice in the online submission form.

  • All benefits of Gold
  • Bartley Takeover- This is a customizable option which can include but is not limited to: signage of your brand throughout the building, creative use of the Chalkboard Wall, hosting an event with a related student business society(s), a roundtable luncheon, resume review sessions and/or information table(s). Your “Bartley Takeover” will take place over 3 days (Monday - Wednesday or Tuesday - Thursday) either once in the fall semester or once in the spring semester. There are four weeks designated for Takeovers each semester.
  • VSB Council of Presidents & Business Societies/NOVAdance (Spring) – your company will be listed as a sponsor on t-shirts for the NOVAdance philanthropic event and the NOVAdance website. This event is supported by VSB business societies.
  • VSB Up Close & Personal Diversity Event - an opportunity to host an interaction with a targeted group of diverse VSB students (20-30 students) in the form of a campus-based small-group meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner). This event can be tailored to your company’s specific needs.

VSB’s Student Business Society Welcome Back Program & VSB Student Business Society Fair (September 4, 2019) – This interactive program kicks off the new academic year by bringing together leaders from the 23 student business societies and is comprised of two activities:

  • Business Society Welcome Back Program - brings together student leaders, administrators and faculty who work together throughout the year to accomplish society goals. Your representatives will interact with these students and learn interact with these students and learn about each of the student-run organizations.  
  • VSB Student Business Society Fair - held immediately following the Reception, this event is targeted at and typically attracts 200+ first year students. It is designed to expose them to student professional groups AND VSB’s Corporate Sponsors.  Your representatives will be incorporated into the Fair alongside VSB Student Business Societies enabling them to interact with students in attendance.

B2B VSB 2000: Sophomore Professional Development Seminar (Fall/Spring) – VSB sophomores participate in a one-credit seminar focusing on interviewing skills, the internship/job search process, business ethics, networking, business etiquette, etc. Your representative will be invited to speak on course-related topic.

  • Your organization’s Handshake internship postings to be included in weekly “Featured Internships” promotions shared with students through the Clay Center/O’Donnell Center/VSB social media accounts and Bartley digital screens
  • One representative invited to serve as a judge for the B2B VSB 3000:  Bartley BriefCASE Challenge, a case competition required of all juniors (Fall & Spring)


B2B VSB 3000: Bartley Briefcase Challenge (Fall & Spring) – this course includes prep sessions on the topics of written and verbal communication skills, business research methods, core business competencies, team dynamics and leadership, and culminates in an internal case competition judged by corporate sponsor representatives and other business professionals. The case competitions are held on Saturdays.

B2B Freshman Networking Etiquette Workshops (Spring) – educational and interactive etiquette sessions known as the “The Art of Mixing & Mingling”.  These workshops provide the opportunity to for your representatives to network and begin developing relationships with business students early in their college experience. The  workshop is offered on 3 separate dates (approx. 130 students/session); your representatives are invited to participate in all three sessions.

Opportunities exist to host a VSB Mentor Program Meet Up event at your office location. Meet Up events typically include students (sophomores through seniors) and alumni mentors. The Program Director and Advisory Board will collaborate with employer to coordinate program agenda and food arrangements. Typically held on a week night after work hours; hosting an event includes provision of venue and catering (may range from an informal reception to buffet dinner).
