Career Advancement

As you pursue your legal career, Villanova Law’s Office of Career Strategy and Advancement provides core career planning education, recruitment programming and individual counseling to support your professional development. The Career Strategy team partners with students and alumni to identify and help you achieve career goals, while also working with employers from diverse practice sectors and locations to recruit Villanova’s talented students and alumni.

Additional career support includes connecting you with other young Villanova Law alumni through the NovUs chapter and providing attorneys with valuable CLE programming through the Law School’s robust symposia and events.

Join the Villanova Law Women’s Network as we connect you with industry experts to discuss and address your thoughts and concerns as you start, accelerate or wind down your career. Each breakout room conversation will focus on a different type of transition, including retirement, full-time to part-time transition, returning to the legal field and ethics of career transition and change.  All are welcome. A Conversation on Empowerment with Villanova Women Trailblazers

The Villanova Law Women’s Network hosts a conversation focusing on women in the legal profession. The event will feature a panel with Sen. Kelly Ayotte '93, Former United States Senator for the State of New Hampshire, Hon. Joanna E. McClinton '06, Pennsylvania House of Representatives Democratic Leader and Representative for the 191st House District, Jami McKeon '81, Chair of Morgan Lewis and Hon. Sandra Newman '72, Former Justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Get Involved

There are many volunteering opportunities available for alumni to remain involved with the Villanova Law community, get to know current students and give back to the Law School with your time and talents.

Whether it's getting involved with a Regional Chapter encouraging friends and classmates to reconnect as a member of the Reunion Committee, mentoring a student through the Minority Alumni Society or hosting a Villanova extern, alumni volunteers are a crucial part of the Villanova community. Plus, the Villanova Law Alumni Association regularly recognizes outstanding service by our alums through the Alumni Service Awards!
